hehe, i didn't get it untill i actually thought outloud for a second. "Moon provides us.", is good/ok(if you want to have a primative ancient feel to it). "Luna provides us.", ... MAKES LOT MORE SENSE. *facepalm*

Should I use a dark blue background? Or a black one? Or maybe a white one? I'm not sure...

Those all sound good, you could even try a subtle gradient [from black to slightly more blue than black]. Experiment, but don't choose something outrageous, like pink, green or yellow.
